When a person feels like there is going to be a crisis coming up because of sickness or loss of job, loss of income, and therefore they won't be able to continue paying their mortgage, they should think ahead of time, maybe even six months in advance, see an attorney and talk with the attorney and see whether it is not appropriate now to stop paying the mortgage and save that money- fourteen months worth of mortgage payments. What is the penalty for a first time DUI in California?

In Orange County California, if you are convicted of driving under the influence or having a .08 or more alcohol level, you will have fines that are going to be close to 1600 dollars. You will end up with up to a six months restricted driver's license. You will be required to go to an alcohol education program. The length of that program depends upon how high your alcohol level or if you refuse to take a test.
